Privacy Notice
This Privacy Notice explains how Escondido Pages uses browser storage, hosting and security services, analytics, and third-party content when you use the directory.
1. Information You Provide
Ordinary browsing does not require you to create an account. If you email escondidopages@gmail.com or later use a site form for a correction, ownership claim, takedown request, privacy request, or other contact, information you voluntarily provide may be used to respond to and administer that request. The site should not be used to submit sensitive personal information unless specifically requested for a legitimate purpose.
2. Terms-Acceptance Storage
When you accept the Terms of Use, Escondido Pages stores a small value in your browser’s localStorage indicating that the current Terms version was accepted. This prevents the legal notice from appearing on every page visit. That acceptance value is stored on your device by the browser; the acceptance feature itself does not transmit the value to Escondido Pages. Clearing browser storage may cause the notice to appear again.
3. Cloudflare Hosting, Security, and Site Statistics
Escondido Pages uses Cloudflare infrastructure to deliver and protect the site. Cloudflare may process technical request information as part of providing network, security, reliability, and related services, subject to Cloudflare’s own policies and service configuration.
Escondido Pages may use Cloudflare traffic analytics and Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand aggregate site usage and performance, such as page views, popular pages, referrers, countries/regions, performance metrics, and technical traffic trends. Cloudflare describes Web Analytics as privacy-first and states that its Web Analytics product does not use cookies or localStorage for usage metrics and does not track individual end users across customers for analytics reporting.
Escondido Pages uses analytics to understand how the directory is being used, identify technical problems, and improve navigation and performance—not to create behavioral advertising profiles.
4. Third-Party Maps, Websites, and Embedded Content
Some pages load content or resources from third parties, including map tiles and mapping services, business websites, social-media platforms, or other external providers. Loading or interacting with those features may cause your browser to connect directly to the third party, which may receive technical information such as your IP address, browser information, referring page, or other data under that provider’s own privacy policy.
5. External Links
When you follow a link to a business website, social-media profile, map provider, or other third-party service, you leave Escondido Pages and the third party’s privacy practices apply. Escondido Pages does not control those external services.
6. Cookies
Escondido Pages does not intentionally use advertising cookies. Cloudflare or other infrastructure/security services may use cookies that are necessary for security, network management, or service operation depending on the features enabled. Third-party embedded services may also set or use cookies under their own policies.
7. Data Sale and Advertising
Escondido Pages does not intentionally sell personal information collected through ordinary directory browsing and does not use directory analytics to run cross-site behavioral advertising.
8. Security and Retention
Reasonable technical and organizational measures may be used to protect the site and its systems, but no Internet service can guarantee absolute security. Infrastructure, security, and analytics providers may retain technical data according to their own contracts, settings, and policies. Local Terms-acceptance storage remains on your device until you clear it or a new Terms version uses a different storage key.
9. California and Other Privacy Rights
Depending on the law that applies to a particular interaction and the type of information involved, users may have privacy rights concerning personal information. Escondido Pages will address legally valid requests as required by applicable law. Privacy requests may be sent to escondidopages@gmail.com. This notice does not expand obligations beyond those imposed by applicable law.
10. Changes to this Notice
This Privacy Notice may be updated as the site, analytics configuration, third-party services, or applicable requirements change. The current version and update date will be posted on this page.
